It also will deal with current sporting events with ALWAYS paying respect to the teams, players and coaches who came before. The great history of Seattle sports has shaped what we have today. Emerald Downs and Unlimited Hydroplanes will also be featured. The author Gary Dougherty has lived in the Seattle area all his life. The 1987 UW grad worked at The Seattle Times for nearly 24 years with over half the time spent in the Sports Dept. Dougherty has built tremendous sports databases and has the ability to dig deep for nuggets on Sports in the Northwest. Looking for sponsors and/or donations to continue the blog.
