The Seattle Seahawks dominated the N.Y. Jets 30-7 in the franchise’s first home appearance on Monday Night Football.

The game was played on November 26, 1979. The contest was in the Seahawks’ fourth season in the NFL.

Quarterback Jim Zorn was the hero that night – passing for 285 yards, completing 25 of 32 pass attempts.

Zorn threw three TDs: A 14 yarder to Steve Largent in the second quarter, a 16-yard toss to Sherman Smith in the third quarter and an 11 yarder to Sam McCullum to complete the scoring with 2 minutes remaining.

Efren Herrera booted three field goals to add to the one-sided affair.

The attendance was 59,977 with a hard to believe 4,782 no shows!
