Time to Pass skips over the slop at Lga

Time to Pass takes the final Independence Day Handicap at Lga by 11 lengths as the even-money favorite.

The 4-year-old Northwest Farms-bred was trained by Bud Klokstad and ridden to victory by Tim Doocy.

Ice in Space finished a distant second.

It was Time to Pass’ fifth and final stakes win at Longacres. He won the Gottstein Futurity at 2 and the Spokane Handicap at 3.

Time to Pass finished his career in 1999 – winning 15 races from 72 starts and earned $539,000.

He also won five stakes at Bay Meadows and one at Yakima Meadows in his brilliant career.
