Sonics lost Game 1 of NBA Finals – 1996

The Seattle SuperSonics played the Chicago Bulls in Game 1 on June 5, 1996.

The Bulls held serve at home winning 107-90.

Michael Jordan led the Bulls with 28 points, Scottie Pippen added 21 and Toni Kukoc 18.

Shawn Kemp led Seattle, pouring in 32 points. Sam Perkins came off the bench to add 14 while Detlef Schrempf and Gary Patyon each chipped in 13 points.

The Sonics trailed by just 2 points entering the fourth quarter – 79-77.
